FIRST NEW SPORTS OF THE CENTURY!

BANKSHOT MULTI-SPORTTM SYSTEM DEBUTS AT THE 2001 BANKSHOT BASKETBALL NATIONAL TOURNAMENT!

(Deptford Township, NJ) The Township of Deptford, New Jersey, is proud to announce the grand opening of The Bankshot Multi-Sport System, the first ball playing sports created in the 21st century, at its Fasola Park sports facility located at route 47 in Deptford Township, New Jersey.

The Bankshot Multi-Sport is a new sport system featuring three new Bankshot games: Bankshot Tennis, Bankshot Pitch, and Bankshot Throw. Variations on the Bankshot theme of Total-Mix Sports Based on Universal Design, Bankshot Sports are derivative sports in the positive sense. Bankshot Tennis is a derivative of Tennis; Pitch and Throw are derivatives of pitching and throwing for accuracy, challenge and excitement. The games are games of skill, not strength, speed or stamina.

The Bankshot Multi-Sport was designed as a Total-Mix system based on Universal Design, and intended for the entire family to play together, since they are non-aggressive versions of classic sports. Players play alongside one another, not against each other. There is no running, no aggression or physical contact. Bankshot Multi-Sport is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Players of all ages and abilities, including wheelchair participants, proceed through a course of angled, uniquely configured highly colored Bankboards, banking balls off the Bankboards through hoops and into netted catchers. The games can be set up on any surface, and can be easily moved to and from any location. The brightly colored and distinctive Bankboards and hoops attract many families to play together.

Bankshot Multi-Sport creator Dr. Reeve Brenner says: "Bankshot Multi-Sport has shown itself to be a leveling of the playing field version of ball playing games, and a teaching and skill-developing player's dream."

Total-Mix Sports take the combativeness, power-play, and violence out of ball-playing sports and replaces them with intelligence, prefiguration, a subtle touch and creative thinking. Bankshot engages the mind of everyone who takes on the challenge of these new sports. No other sports are quite like Bankshot Sports. Bankshot Multi-Sport's predecessor, Bankshot Basketball, has been displayed in two international museums as art (SportSculptures) and in the Discovery (science) museum as applied physics!
